Chouquette

Full refurbishment: new layout, plumbing and electrics, then styling, run between Paris and the Algarve.

A French client bought a small studio in the 20th arrondissement to let. Twenty-five square metres, top floor, with a sloped ceiling and not much working in its favour: a cramped bathroom and a layout that wasted what little space there was.

We took it back to the studs. New plumbing, new electrics, and a new plan that found room for the one thing she most wanted: a proper bathroom with a shower you can actually move in.

She asked for something soft and feminine, so we built the place around two colours: pastel pink and a watery green. Pink panelling, aqua hexagonal tiles, pale wood, light enough to make twenty-five square metres feel calm rather than tight. A cocoon, not a corridor.

We ran the project between Paris and the Algarve. On-site for the build, the details handled from the studio. Small, but it holds everything it needs to.
